As an attorney in DeWitt’s Business Practice Group, Neil works collaboratively with business owners and management engaged in various stages of corporate transactions to help them meet their goals.
From start-up businesses to multi-national corporations, Neil assists a wide range of clients in transactional matters including mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, strategic partnerships, and other commercial transactions.
His practice also includes counseling businesses throughout their lifecycle on a variety of general corporate matters, including entity formation, general business planning, and drafting and negotiating commercial agreements. He also regularly advises companies in various industries on navigating complex regulatory and compliance issues. In addition to his corporate practice, Neil represents clients in a variety of real estate matters, including purchases, sales, and other development projects.
Neil has experience working with many different clients in industries such as technology, manufacturing and distribution, transportation and logistics, energy and energy services, agriculture, and financial services.
Prior to entering the legal profession, Neil worked in commercial lending, where he analyzed financial and economic data to evaluate businesses across a wide range of industries. Neil’s background in business and finance allows him to better understand the big picture from both a legal and business perspective, and his pragmatic approach and ability to quickly assess an issue ensures clients achieve their goals in a prompt and efficient manner.
