With a unique combination of advanced scientific training and extensive patent experience, Paul works closely with inventors, research organizations, startups, and established businesses to secure intellectual property protection that supports long-term business and commercialization objectives.
Paul focuses his practice on domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution, particularly in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, medical device, and mechanical technology sectors. He guides clients through all stages of the patent process, helping them develop and manage patent portfolios that protect valuable innovations while aligning with broader business goals.
Drawing on more than a decade of intellectual property experience, Paul has worked with a wide range of technologies, including antibody-drug conjugates, enzymatic inhibitors, pharmaceuticals, drug delivery systems, biochemical assays, microfluidic devices, chemical coatings, cardiovascular devices, and other complex medical and mechanical technologies. His ability to understand sophisticated scientific concepts and translate them into effective patent strategies allows him to provide practical, results-oriented counsel tailored to each client’s industry and objectives.
Before entering the legal profession, Paul earned a doctorate in biochemistry and conducted research focused on the molecular mechanisms of plant disease. His scientific background provides valuable insight into the innovation process and enables him to communicate effectively with researchers, engineers, and technical teams throughout the patent lifecycle.
