Mashhura is a law clerk at the Madison office of DeWitt LLP, supporting the Business practice group.

Mashhura’s experience serving as vice president at an NGO focused on strengthening the rule of law. In that role, she supervised junior attorneys and provided legal guidance to clients on a variety of issues, including constitutional rights, labor and employment law, and property rights. During her time at Iowa Law, she worked as a judicial extern for Chief Judge C.J. Williams at the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Iowa, where she drafted court orders on issues such as contract breach, commercial insurance liability and compassionate release.

Before moving to the U.S., Mashhura was an in-house counsel in an oil and gas company, where her practice was focused on negotiating and drafting petroleum products sales and purchase, distribution agreements, and overseeing compliance matters. She handled contract negotiations with state and private sector operators and provided legal oversight in negotiating the renewal of long-term commercial contracts.

With her international legal background and experience in both corporate and public law, Mashhura brings a unique perspective to our firm’s practice.
