Attorney Phillip Maples Joins DeWitt’s Green Bay Office

Today DeWitt LLP law firm announced attorney Phillip R. Maples joined the firm’s Green Bay office, where he will focus his practice on assisting individuals with estate, wealth, and business succession planning, and helping businesses with corporate and real estate matters.

With extensive experience in wealth transfer and family succession planning, Maples is dedicated to preserving family relationships while developing practical, tax-efficient strategies that adapt to unforeseen circumstances. He brings specialized expertise in domicile planning, vacation property succession, and agricultural estate transitions, addressing the unique challenges faced by farming families. Additionally, his background as in-house counsel gives him a deep understanding of business operations, enabling him to provide strategic guidance to manufacturing, retail, and service industry clients. Maples’ expertise in business succession planning ensures a seamless transition for owners looking to pass their companies to the next generation.

Prior to DeWitt, Maples served as a partner and managing shareholder at law firms in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, served as general counsel for a manufacturer, and retained a limited law practice in the areas of business, trusts and estates, elder law, and real estate. He has often published and presented on the subjects of estate planning, real estate and business succession. Maples holds a J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, and a B.A., with distinction, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
