DeWitt Litigators Allen and Smigelski Named to Wisconsin Super Lawyers Top 25 List

MADISON | MILWAUKEE | MINNEAPOLIS – DeWitt LLP announced today that  Shannon A. Allen and Brian R. Smigelski were named by Wisconsin Super Lawyers® to its top 25 Milwaukee Super Lawyers list. Both Attorney Allen  and Smigelski specialize in Business Litigation.

Allen, who practices in the area of civil litigation, was also designated as one of Wisconsin’s Top 25 Women Lawyers. Allen specializes in Business, Labor & Employment and Litigation. In particular, she advises clients in commercial litigation, employment matters and employment litigation. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin Law School, Allen is a Past-President of the Milwaukee Bar Association.

Smigelski, who practices in the areas of Litigation, Construction and Employment law, was also designated as one of Wisconsin's Top 50 Lawyers.   A graduate of Marquette University Law School, he has practiced for more than 25 years and has substantial litigation experience ranging from basic breach of contract actions in state or federal court, to complex construction arbitrations, to multimillion dollar class action cases in state court.

Allen and Smigelski's designations are based upon peer nominations, independent research and peer evaluations.  The selections for Super Lawyers are made by the research team at Super Lawyers, which is a service of the Thomson Reuters legal division based in Eagan, Minnesota. Each year the team conducts a thorough selection process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation of candidates by the attorney-led research staff, a peer review of candidates by practice area and a good-standing and disciplinary check.

The final list of Wisconsin Super Lawyers features the top five percent of attorneys in more than 60 practice areas.
