Elaine is an attorney in the Business practice group in the Minneapolis office. Elaine has worked in a variety of legal areas including Secured Transactions, Banking Law, Real Estate, Wills, Trusts and Estates, Immigration law, Criminal law and later clerked for the Honorable Judge Wermager in Dakota County, where she dealt with civil, criminal, family, probate, and juvenile cases.

Prior to law school, Elaine was a Chief of Operations for a startup critical thinking institute. She has also been involved in helping family and community members in their business ventures and disputes. Elaine enjoys working with entrepreneurs to make their ideas become practical, legal realities through problem solving and aiding them to ask the right questions.

Elaine was also the treasurer of Habitat for Humanity. During her time there, Elaine’s team organized a volunteer group to build houses in Louisiana after Hurricane Katrina. She has been formally trained as a Guardian Ad Litem in Buncombe County in Asheville, North Carolina. She has also served as a volunteer oversees teaching English in Jordan, Israel, and Costa Rica.
