Staff Positions

Paralegal - Green Bay Office

DeWitt LLP seeks a full-time Paralegal with experience in litigation, mergers & acquisitions, real estate, contracts, trusts & estates, and Wisconsin and Federal court e-filing systems for its Green Bay, Wisconsin location. A DeWitt employee must be a team player, detail-oriented, have a proven work ethic, and excellent communication skills. Savvy technical skills, professionalism, and the capability to manage workflow from multiple attorneys will make you a well-rounded candidate. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Administrative support to six full-time attorneys
  • Prepare, format, proofread, revise, profile, and save correspondence and documents to document management system
  • Document reproduction, including printing, copying, scanning, and physical client file maintenance
  • Client contact, monitor email and calendars, resolve questions from clients and co-workers
  • Knowledge with entity formations, dissolutions, foreign qualifications, annual report filings, issuance and transfer of stock/membership units, maintenance of corporate record books, UCC preparation and filing
  • Real estate and finance transaction support to assist attorneys through closings
  • Estate planning support including using client gathered data to draft documents, schedule signings with clients, and prepare final documents for distribution to clients
  • Litigation support involving an understanding of various court proceedings and filings

Required Skills:  

  • Certification or associate degree from a certified paralegal program
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written
  • Aptness to work independently, as well as part of a team
  • Strong time management skills for undertaking a large volume of work along with tracking and providing status of same

Paralegal - Madison Office

DeWitt LLP seeks a full-time estate planning, trust and estate, and business paralegal with at least three years of law firm experience for its Madison, Wisconsin location.  A DeWitt employee must be a team player, detail-oriented, have a proven work ethic, and have excellent communication skills. Responsibilities:  

Estate planning and trust and estate responsibilities will include: 

  • Collection of financial, personal, and health-related information
  • Preparation of estate planning documents
  • Document analysis
  • Categorization and understand financial documents related to trust funding
  • Understanding all facets of trust and estate administration
  • Preparation of trust and estate accountings, including preparation of fiduciary tax and estate returns,
  • Understanding of guardianship administration.

Business responsibilities will include:

Parental Leave Policy – Associates

  • The firm provides up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for the birth of a child and to care for and bond with an associate’s newborn or adopted child. If the associate gives birth, she is entitled to six weeks leave for childbirth and six weeks leave for other parental leave for a total of 12 weeks. If the associate is not the parent giving birth, the associate is provided six weeks of paid parental leave.
