Wes is an environmental partner in DeWitt’s Madison office. His practice focuses on environmental remediation, landfill regulation, water rights, and land use matters. He guides manufacturers, developers, and landfills through their most challenging disputes to achieve successful outcomes. Wes has successfully litigated cases for clients involving claims under CERCLA (Superfund), the Clean Water Act (CWA), and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), among others. Wes has argued cases before the Wisconsin Supreme Court and federal district courts in Wisconsin.

Wes has significant experience working with developers on utility-scale renewable energy projects. His work includes securing land rights, advising on zoning issues, representing clients in easement right-of-way transactions, and negotiating with local governments. He often represents clients before zoning boards, plan commissions, and other local government bodies in Wisconsin.

Wes also serves as outside general counsel to religious entities.

Prior to joining DeWitt, Wes served as a staff attorney in the civil division of the Milwaukee County Circuit Court and as a legislative aide in the Wisconsin State Senate.
